The Cockcroft Rutherford Lecture with Maggie Philbin OBE
In 2022, Maggie Philbin OBE, Broadcaster and CEO of TeenTech, presented the annual Cockcroft Rutherford Lecture.
Maggie explored how we help young people gain the skills and aptitudes to deliver a society which works well for everyone in times of unprecedented change and growing inequalities.
The discussion considered how we ensure that we benefit from the creative thinking of those who may be younger and wiser.
The event was particularly special as Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor presented Maggie with an honorary degree, the highest honour the University can bestow, in recognition of her services to science and technology.
