Professors on the Road – New York City

You’re invited to join an informal roundtable with of two Manchester’s most senior academics. You’ll hear about their areas of expertise, then you will be able to ask them anything.

Date and time: Thursday 5 May, 6 to 8pm (New York time)
Venue: 1133 Broadway, The Worth Room (Suite 221), New York, NY 10010

Angelia Wilson is a Professor of Politics and will be asking: “American Politics – What’s the prognosis?”

Professor Wilson will consider the impact of recent political strategies on the state of American democracy, focusing on what that means for local communities, identity groups, and the exportation of American values.

Joining her will be Keith Brennan, Professor of Developmental Signalling, based in our Division of Cancer Sciences. Professor Brennan has been involved in our work to address global health inequalities and will talk about: “Transforming cancer healthcare in Kenya”.

This is a small, intimate opportunity to meet these two Professors – places are very limited so we advise you book early to avoid missing out.
