Help current or future students

Thousands of alumni volunteer their time and expertise to help students each year, whether that’s by talking about the Manchester experience at an open day, or through insightful careers advice.

Meet the Grads

This annual series of careers events connect current students with alumni who studied a similar degree to them, for advice and guidance.

Students value this unique opportunity to ask questions in an informal environment and meet friendly people working in desirable industries. They leave the event inspired, with a better understanding of the wealth of opportunities available to them and how to approach applying for jobs.

Alumni find the experience rewarding:

“As a student, I was inspired by graduate engineers sharing their experience and advice. Now I have been invited back as an engineering professional myself! It was great to be able to share my student experience and talk about my current role in front of upcoming engineers!”
