The Middle East Centre Annual Dinner

When: Thursday, 15 September 2022, 7:30pm – 11pm
Where: Madinat Jumeirah, Murjaan Ballroom, Dubai

Update to proceedings for this dinner

Following the very sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the period of national mourning, we would like to share with you some adjustments we are making to the arrangements for this dinner.

It will go ahead as scheduled and our President & Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, will attend as our guest of honour along with her colleagues from the Manchester campus.

We will recognise and acknowledge the impact of our community of students and alumni of which we are so proud, as well as an impressive line-up of guest speakers.

Our aim is to ensure that the occasion maintains an appropriate and respectful tone throughout and so we will not be proceeding with the planned entertainment and there will no formal celebrations or awards presented.

We kindly appreciate your understanding of our approach and we would also request your cooperation in keeping a respectful tone.
