President’s Virtual Reception

East and Southeast Asia

Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President & Vice-Chancellor of The University of Manchester, would love you to join us for a virtual reception on Monday, 11 April, 12.30pm (British Summer Time). You’ll be welcomed alongside other alumni based in East & Southeast Asia.

This event will be a celebration of ‘The Power of Networking’ and the many ways in which alumni enrich the student experience and support those who’ve recently graduated.

A great example of this is one of Manchester’s flagship alumni-to-student programmes: Global Graduates, which marks its tenth year running in 2022 and is a unique combination of alumni philanthropy and volunteering.

At this reception we’ll learn about:

•    How Global Graduates has benefited students who took part;

•    The rewarding experience of the alumni who’ve supported;

•    How you can make use of your alumni network for mutual benefit; to be a positive influence on recent graduates to or to benefit from the knowledge and experience from alumni 

•    We’ll also discuss graduates whose experience has been displaced by the pandemic, particularly those who have missed out on a graduation ceremony.
